Fishing for Litter is an environmental project which aims to promote the organised collection of marine litter in Scotland.
Through the participation of local fishermen, this project is designed to recover marine litter from the ocean whilst raising awareness for the significant detrimental impact such waste can have on the marine environment. Over 100 boats and all of Scotland's Designated Landing Ports (DLPs) signed up to participate in this flourishing environmental initiative between 2005 and 2008.
