Fishing for Litter Scotland 2005 - 2008

Fishing for Litter is an environmental project which aims to promote the organised collection of marine litter in Scotland. final report front cover2Through the participation of local fishermen, this project is designed to recover marine litter from the ocean whilst raising awareness for the significant detrimental impact such waste can have on the marine environment. Over 100 boats and all of Scotland's Designated Landing Ports (DLPs) signed up to participate in this flourishing environmental initiative between 2005 and 2008.

The booklet contains detailed information regarding the science behind the issue, objectives, the vessels which participated and final monitoring statistics for the 2005 - 2008 phase of the project.
