The work in KIMO Faroe has recently revolved around the Fishing for Litter activities. A initial Fishing for Litter project involving one harbour was conducted and completed in August 2008 and a report on the project was produced and published on the Føroya Kommunufelag website, www.fkf.fo, in January 2009. After the report was published, it was presented by KIMO-Faroes on the Faroese national radio.
 
In 2009 contacts have been with stakeholders in the municipalities, the shipowners association and the fishermens association, with the intent to implement a more permanent Fishing for Litter scheme.
